Lovely family vacation close to the beach

Our family of 11, which included 4 kids from 18 mo to 10, really enjoyed our time in this beautiful and well appointed home. The beach was close by and the house and back yard pool area had plenty of areas for either relaxing or being active. Nancy, the property manager, was great.

Great for large families!

Just had a great week with our family, which included 5 grandchildren. The house was fantastic. There were so many choices of bedrooms to accommodate everyone, allowing for everyone to be together but still have their own space. The weather was a little cool and windy, so the large indoor garage/ laundry room area was perfect for the kids to run around and have room to play inside. And the adults could shut the glass door and still see them, but not hear them. A bonus! The back yard was a real bonus too. The pool is pretty shaded, so that combined with the cool weather kept the crew from swimming too much but they did enjoy the spa. We appreciated that the kitchen and living area had a flat walk out to the pool and back yard area. Very short walk to the beach and lots of beach equipment was supplied. We even took advantage of the included access to the community center. They have a nice playground and soccer fields for the kids to use. Nancy was an amazing host. Very accessible and quick to respond. She provided many email newsletters prior to arrival with tons of information about the area. The house iPad is also very helpful with the details about the house and services. This was our fourth annual family trip to the island and we thoroughly enjoyed this stay.

The property is beautiful, perfect location. The backyard has a lush resort atmosphere. The inside of the house is very comfortable with a kitchen that had all the staples. The only thing missing was the outside shower. Overall a beautiful house!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Sirenia By The Sea. Nancy is wonderful to work with and very communicative. Any question or concern was addressed immediately. We traveled with my 3 sons and my in-laws and very much appreciated the layout of the home. It allowed all of us to have privacy and at the same time, spend time together. The villa is nicely updated and very clean. The pool and putting green was a hit with my boys, and my husband, an avid boater, enjoyed renting a vessel and being able to park it right in our own backyard. The location of the home was perfect for us - a short stroll to the beautiful gulf beach, and close to Pine Avenue shops and restaurants. Grocery stores and other retail establishments are also close by. We love AMI and would certainly rent from Nancy again should we return.

This is our second year in a row staying at Sirenia by the sea. Newly renovated to fit all our needs. Fully stocked with everything to start our vacation right for our three families. I love everything about this house and the fact that it's so close to everything, even a 2-minute or less walk to the beach. The pool was fantastic along with a great hot tub.
Nancy is the best to rent from. This was our 4th year renting from Nancy, (because she has other awesome houses) and I never have to worry about anything. She stays in communication with you and if by chance you need anything she is on it. Best houses and best person to rent from!!! My family is already trying to figure out which one of her houses we want in 2024.

For the space and location I would rate this property 5-stars. There were a few unexpected issues that came up but the owner addressed them in a kind and timely manner. Would have liked a little more backyard space for our large group but would have had to give up pool space 😕 We would definitely rent from this owner again!

Perfect family vacation!

This house was perfect for our first visit to Anna Maria Island. We spent our week bouncing between the beach and the pool. We were close to plenty of food and shopping, too! The owners have put a lot of thought into their rental…plenty of beach toys, items for kids such as a booster seat for the table, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook a delicious meal. We will absolutely stay here again if we come back to AMI. :)

The location of this villa is perfect, one block from the beach and right onto the canal from the back yard. We hired kayaks and Paddleboards which we loved having the easy access. Communication with Nancy was very good, always responded very quickly to any question I had! We would return in a heartbeat

Another wonderful vacation at Sirenia By The Sea. We are so thankful we got to make memories with our extended family at this great home. We absolutely love this house, all the space, great amenities, wonderful location on the canal and a block to the beach, the sauna, flex space with ping pong, laundy and tons of storage and the pool and outdoor area is amazing. The home is large enough for a big group but still feels really cozy. Nancy is a joy to work with, super responsive and kind. We have rented on the island for 8 years and this was our 2nd time in this home. You won't find nicer owners and all the space you need anywhere else!

Paradise on the Canal

Amazing experience with both the house and communication with the hostess. The pool was warm which hasn’t been our experience all the other times we’ve come to Florida, and so it got lots of use. We also loved having a back yard for the kids to run in. The pool is only a few steps from the back door which we didn’t realize by seeing the map, so if you have small kids you might want to consider that. There is a fence but our toddlers figured that our quickly and could open it. We did end up using the pool alarm that alerts us if anyone got in the water so thankful for that! We’d definitely stay here again

Wow! Beautiful home and outdoor area! Couldn’t have been better. Fishing off the dock, caught a few fish including flounder. Brought our own paddle boards and went into Bimini Bay for daily relaxing trips, saw dolphins and a manatee! Easy walk to the beach, beautiful pool and spa area to relax and let the kids play. Adults enjoyed the spa every night after the kiddos were tucked in bed. Comfortable sleeping arrangements for the whole family. We made all our meals at the house, never ate out. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and grills were large and worked well! Nancy thought of everything! We had great check in and check out instruction making the whole process very easy. Wonderful family memories where made, would love to return again!

We loved our stay at Sirenia By the Sea and had a wonderful time. The owner, Nancy, provided very helpful information about AMI when we were planning our trip and was easy to get in touch with before and during the trip. The house itself was in a great location-close to the beach, close to Pine St. and on a canal. The house was in good shape, was very clean, and was very well stocked with items that you would need for your stay there. The pool and spa were wonderful and the lush palm trees and landscaping provided privacy. We enjoyed our time there and would love to return in the future.

Great Family House Close to the Beach

This was a great house for our mix of family and friends. We were there for two weeks and we would love to have stayed longer. There many "pros" to this home. The two seperate seating / TV areas were great since we were not always on the same page as to what to watch or do at night. A bathroom for every bedroom was great for privacy for our mixed family / friends group. The location is ideal. You are at the beach in about 2 minutes walking. Also great because you can walk to so many restaurants, bars and shops easily. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. That includes small appliances. There is a "bonus room" off the kitchen on the front of the house that was once the garage that they have opened up and it holds everything from a ping-pong table to 2 sets of washers and dryers, an extra refrigerator and plenty of space for your extras suitcases, extra food, coolers, beach toys, bikes... Beds are comfortable and there was plenty of space for those that still had to work to spread out and have some privacy. The backyard is great and we found ourselves there both day and night. Pool was heated to a perfect temperature which we have found is not always the case in rentals. The home was truly charming. It is not one of the newest houses on the island but it is well-maintained and up-to-date. As always, Anna Maria was beautiful. Because of Covid and many people needing to get away from the cold it was more crowded on the island then it usually is in February. Nancy, the owner, was responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. I would definitely recommend this house!

Great home returning without a doubt might be a little dated in areas but beds were super comfortable home extra clean Pool was tiny most pools on the island are. Oh, backyard patio along canal was spectacular I feel like fishing and kayaking. Thank you Nancy you run a good operation

We had a very enjoyable week at Sirenia by the Sea! All accommodation aspects were as described in the listing. The location was wonderful! Far enough in off the main road to be quiet but still close to the beach access and the main hub of activity of Pine street to be able to walk to many of the diners and shops. Would definitely recommend for families!

Perfect space for extended family

We’ve rented many homes through VRBO for our bi-annual family Christmas trips over the past 20 years. I have to say that Sirenia By The Sea was one of our best choices. The property is super close to the beach, on a canal which allows for kayaking and paddle boarding, and a short walk to shopping and dining. Due to COVID we didn’t do a lot of excursions but we rented scooters and a golf cart to explore the island. Staying in our “bubble” was super easy in this house. There was enough room for a party of 9 to spread out and find their own space. The kitchen space was ample enough for multiple cooks, the table and chairs out by the canal were a relaxing space for catching the last of the days rays, and the two sets of washers and dryers made keeping up with laundry a breeze. Nancy sent multiple emails pre-trip with lots of information about the house and area. We took her advice and visited the Starfish market for fresh fish and oysters!! Not only was it delicious but they were also reasonably priced!! All in all, it was a great week with family made even better by staying in a beautiful, accommodating home.

We loved staying here! House was clean and had everything we needed. We loved all of the beach equipment and wagon to haul it with. Beach was just a short 4 min walk from the house. Pool/hot tub were great! Kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed being able to spread out as the house was large. Our kids were easily able to do virtual schooling with the house wifi. Over-all great experience.

Great Family Home

The house is in a wonderful location that is close to everything. The layout was perfect for our family. We had an 87 old who stayed in the downstairs queen bedroom with its own bathroom with a walk-in shower and a door going out to the pool/patio. That queen bedroom also had separate heat/air so we were able to keep that room warmer for him which was so helpful. The only thing that would have made that area better would be to add some grab bars by the toilet and in the shower bc this is a great room for in-laws/handicap/elderly and I'm sure there are plenty who visit who would be aided by those inexpensive additions. Also on the first floor is a large master with attached bath. In the same end of the house as the master, there is a twin bedroom which uses the hall bath with a walk in shower (the only complaint is that you have to get wet to turn on the shower in that bath; a handheld would be a good replacement as you could hold it while you turn on the shower so you don't get wet). This part of the house is great for a couple with children. Upstairs there is another master bedroom with its own bath and walk-in shower. Also upstairs is a bedroom with 2 twin beds, attached bath with tub, and door going to a balcony overlooking the pool. There is also an office area with a sleeper sofa and sauna upstairs. The upstairs is another great area for a couple with kids. The house is great for multiple families- perfect for a family reunion or vacation with multiple families. The pool area with hot tub, tiki bar, hammock, and the canal was unbeatable. The canal feature of the home was the main reason we stayed and we are so glad that we opted for a canal house. Someone was fishing or kayaking the whole time we were there. We almost chose one of the newer homes with more stylish flair bc there were some that were so nice for about the same price. While this house is a little older, it has all the bells and whistles and lots of space for everyone! This lives like a ranch with an upstairs which was great and made things easier for our family. Beach is very short walk. One warning: the dock needs a new ladder so be careful getting in kayaks if you rent them. My daughter cut her leg wooden rung on the ladder broke. We used the metal ladder in the garage to get into the kayaks and took it out after each use; it was otherwise impossible to get in the kayaks as the barnacles/shells are like razors- be careful. Overall 5 stars. My family had a WONDERFUL TIME!

We had an awesome time at this rental. Nancy did a great job with supplying us with all the information we needed to enjoy this island. She was such a pleasure to work with. We stayed with extended family and all of us felt we had our own privacy in the house. The house had everything you need and more. We rented bikes for the week but a lot of things in walking distance. We spent most of our days in the outdoor oasis swimming and fishing and our nights doing ping pong tournaments. I would definitely stay here again.

This home is not only beautiful and very spacious on the inside, but it also has the perfect location. It’s a 5 minute walk to an amazing white sandy beach. The sunsets were just spectacular. Restaurants, bars, shopping all very close. There were 11 of us ranging in ages from 7 years old to 56. There was enough space for everyone to spread out inside and outside of the house. The kids especially loved the pool and we couldn’t get them out of the hot tub. Early morning and evenings sitting on the Adirondack chairs by the canal were so peaceful and relaxing. The fish jumping out of the water were very entertaining. The backyard is an oasis. Nancy was a great host. Very knowledgeable and quick to respond. We can’t wait to go back.

We had a wonderful time! Property is beautiful, spacious and feels like a resort, and it is in great location on the island! Very close to the beach that takes just minutes walking or riding your bike. Dock is good for anyone who has a boat. Only issue was not being able to lock certain bedroom doors, so bring a portable lock if you need privacy. Otherwise a really great place!

Short walk to the beach, lots of helpful things on site: beach chairs, kitchen appliances and everything necessary to prepare your food. Publix is a few miles away and easy to get to and from. The layout of the home was great with the two separate living areas ,big well stocked kitchen, large dining table. We had 6 adults and 5 children and had plenty of room. There was plenty of beach toys, beach chairs, towels and wagon. We rented a golf cart which was fun for the grandkids and great way to get around the island. The grandkids loved the pool and playing in the hot tub when it was not heated. The beach was great fun and we found many places to eat which were family friendly. Nancy was great to work with. Thanks for a great memory making vacation!

The kitchen was amazing, we like to cook, and all needed utensils were there, the knives were sharp, and a warming drawer! There was a large dining table. Everything we needed for the family was available, from beach supplies, ( chairs, wagon of toys, 2 umbrellas) to pool floats. The details of family necessities were thought of, and furnished. The beach was only a few blocks away. We could take the golf cart, walk or bike, which we did many times. The outdoor shower was nice to keep the sand out of the house. The pool had steps that the kids could swim around. We also rented a boat, so the dock was key. This is a great house for boat and beach access. We each had our own bathroom, that really enhanced the stay, to be able to unpack your toiletries and feel at home. PLENTY! of both beach and bath towels and two washers and dryers allowed us to have fresh towels daily. Nancy was uber-responsive to all of my communications. There is plenty of parking, Anna Maria has strict parking regulations, we did not have to worry about the cars being in the road, as we did at the previous house in Anna Maria. The kids would golf cart to get coffee and cinnamon rolls every morning, and the general store was biking distance for a quick trip. We now have a wonderful 2019 family vacation memory, a memory of a lifetime.

An Absolute Dream

We booked this house based off of the fantastic reviews, stunning photos and the super quick and helpful replies from the owner, Nancy. Well everything beyond exceeded our expectations! The house is huge with so much space and privacy for everyone. It is so beautifully and thoughtfully styled. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of effort and love into it. The kitchen is so well-equipped. Very comfy beds and couches. The double washer and dryers and second fridge were super handy. The beach chairs and cart were very helpful having (versus having to buy or rent). The ping pong table provided lots of fun and of course that backyard oasis... wow!! Surrounded by palms, it provides the best vacation atmosphere- relaxing, gorgeous and fun!! We got married at the Sandbar and this house provided the best base for our family reunion, memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. Our photographer and videographer were so impressed with the house that we did our “first look” and a lot of the bridal party photos there. It was also great having so much space for getting ready beforehand with the hair and makeup stylists and my bridesmaids and family. We stayed two weeks and wish we had booked a third! (I am a part owner of a holiday home business in New Zealand, so am a biased and harsh critic ;)). We will be back!! Many many thanks.

The home was spacious for our group of 10. The home is beautifully decorated. We loved that the kitchen and living room opened up to the incredible back yard/pool. My kids loved the hammock! The home is 1 1/2 blocks to the beach and walking distance to Pine Street. We just had 2 hiccups. First, the welcome tablet had a cracked screen and did not work. Second, there was a cable box missing in one of the bedrooms. Nancy was very quick to respond and take care of the issues. I would just suggest someone checking the house between renters to ensure everything is as it should be before the next renters.

Lovely home with great location - on the canal and three minute walk to the beach. Beautifully maintained. Pristine pool. Having the main living space and three of five bedrooms on the ground level worked well for our extended family with elderly grandparents and a family member with physical disabilities. Quiet neighborhood. Great community space for eating but multiple areas to spread out and have quiet, private time. Two refrigerators and two washers and dryers were luxuries that came in handy. Looking forward to returning next year.

We had a wonderful time at Siernia by the Sea! Unfortunately, we got very unlucky with the weather, but the home was awesome and we had a great time nonetheless hanging out in there! The pool and hot tub were fantastic as was the whole outdoor space. Nancy was very responsive and helpful with connecting us to a boat tour (canceled due to weather, sadly) and she gave great tips for restaurants and grocery stores in the area. This property is perfect for our large family summer vacation. Sirenia By the Sea is so well stocked and equipped it makes packing for a week simple and easy. The house has 2 refrigerates, 2 cloths washers and 2 dryers to keep our clothes and beach towels fresh and clean. Nancy and Teri supply all the beach "stuff" so we can pack even lighter. The property sits on the canal so the guys could fish as much as they want. If you really want to know how good this property is, just look at the number of repeat families they get. If you don't like the house they don't re-book it several years in a row. AMI is so nice to vacation on, the beaches are beautiful, the Gulf is perfect and it has a good mix of quiet and active. We can't wait to return.

Great house for a beach/water loving family!

For us, the house was a perfect location: close to great beach, on a canal for paddle boarding and fishing, good pool and hot tub. I was impressed by how well appointed the kitchen was: good pots and pans and lots of tools for the chefs. Having two washers and dryers was very convenient...we used lots of beach towels. The cart was a life saver as were all the beach "tools," umbrellas, chairs, etc. We love cooking evening meals and sitting around the table for hours. The house provided everything we needed. The dining room table was perfect for our family of 12. Having two living rooms worked out great for us: one for tv watching, one of working our annual 1,000 piece puzzle. The house location is great. We were not far from Publix and the Sand Bar....two of our reoccurring stops. The bedrooms, being of such variety of size, posed a little problem. With 4 boys sleeping upstairs, we experienced some noise in the the bedroom by the pool. Also, adding some privacy shades to the patio doors adjacent to that bedroom would be nice. The owners were very responsive to all our questions and needs. They helped make our arrival and departure smooth. We would consider returning to Sirenia By The Sea. It was a great experience. Great for home for 2+ Families

We stayed at Sirenia with my husband's family and loved that there were two separate master bedrooms on two different levels. The second floor master and bedroom with two twins was a perfect fit for our family and allowed my in-laws to have the first floor. This way we had a little separation, which was nice! The home had two sets of washer/dryers, and while doing laundry really isn't first priority on a vacation, with a group our size, it was nice to have two sets so we could freshen up towels easily. Our kids loved the pool - they keep the temperature warm, which we all loved! The kitchen was well appointed for a rental home. I like to cook, even on vacation, so I would have loved sharper knives, but they were consistent with what we have found in other rentals! Plus, they had a second refrigerator in the garage area, which was great for more space for cooling extra beverages. The house is a short walk to the beach, which was really nice since it felt like we needed take every possible chair and beach toy every time we went!

We just got back from our third visit to Sirenia by the Sea, and once again it was superb! We had a party of 11, so the large spacious house was perfect for our clan. We also have an individual with physical disabilities, so having a master bedroom and living areas on the main floor was a huge plus. The location is great - 1-1/2 blocks from the beach and a short walk to Pine Ave. But who needs the beach with a pool area like this one! We got sun every day we were there, and the layout of the back yard means there is always a place to get a tan. I would heartily recommend Sirenia by the Sea to anyone with a large group.

Sirenia By The Sea is about the best location you can hope for on AMI. The canal in back made for easy access to Kayak or load up the wagon for a short walk to the beach. My seven year old granddaughter wasn't this excited on Xmas when she was checking out each bedroom and the pool/spa in back. Plenty of towels are offered and a starter supply of essentials (TP, paper towels etc.) but be aware like most rentals you will need to pretty much supply everything other than salt and pepper that we found. I advise to bring some of your small spices from home if you plan on cooking in very much. We would definately go back to Sirenia By The Sea when we have a large group.

This house could not have been more perfect for our family of 11. Everyone had plenty of space and the outdoor pool and spa were simply perfect after a day at the beach. The kitchen was so well supplied and there was enough space for all of us to eat together in the spacious dining room. Our family has taken many vacations together but this place is at the top of my list because of its proximity to the beach and the spaciousness of the house.

Can not say enough good things about this property and owners! The 12 of us had an amazing week! 6 adults, 2 teenagers and 4 kids. Every single person had an outstanding vacation. So much room for all families to have their own space. All the sleeping quarters were nicely spread out. The proximity to the beach and great restaurants from the house is perfect. There truly isn’t anything, that any of us could think of, that wasn’t provided at the house. Very clean and impeccably maintained! We for sure hope to be returning in the future!!

Second time staying at one of Nancy and Terri's homes. Stayed at Sirenia Cove last year, and Sirenia by the Sea this year. Nancy and Terri are great to work with. Their homes are very nice... decorated well, up to date, great locations, etc. This house in particular is HUGE with 2 massive master bedrooms. My wife and I rented the house with our 2 kids and each of our mothers and everyone had there own space/bedroom/bathroom/etc. I really can't say enough good things about it. We are already looking forward to returning to AMI, and as long as Nancy and Terri's homes are available on those dates my family will be staying there!

The minute we walked through the front door, the six of us were smiling and feeling giddy! We loved this home! Terri and Nancy were awesome to work with the weeks before we arrived. Sirenia By The Sea was so comfortable and welcoming. Absolutely loved the beachy decor and all the amenities. The back yard oasis was unbelieveable. We all enjoyed our coffee every morning out by the bay inlet. We hung out daily in the warm watered pool. The kitchen was totally stocked with all the appliances and things we needed! The beach was a short block and a half walk away. Location really was perfect for walking to some shops and restaurants and if you wanted to go even further, then the free trolley stop was just at the end of the street! We were 3 couples staying here and the bedrooms with en suite bathrooms were perfect for us! Did I say how cute this place was furnished?!?! LOVED IT!!! Will definitely be back and hopefully staying here or in one of the other residences the owners have available! Thanks and hugs to you, Nancy! First of all Terry and Nancy were so accommodating and available. We absolutely loved our stay!!! This home was clean and comfy and equipped with all of the things you see in these pictures. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home in a great location on AMI. This was our first time to AMI and we were taken back by the beautiful gulf waters and beautiful beaches that looked exactly like the pictures. After exploring the island a little, we felt we really were at the best location. The beach entrance on Oak Street was a short enjoyable walk down an uncrowded and pretty "Oak Street". The beach was beautiful and felt almost private to us and a few others that were enjoying it. We came in mid-August. AMI is beautiful no matter where you go, but I feel we had the perfect spot! The home was beautiful and cheerful; very spacious and comfortable. The pool and backyard area are just as pictured. We enjoyed the pool and the grill. Lots of fun was had! We appreciated having two washers and dryers as well! The ping pong table was another plus and lots of fun. This home had everything we needed from beach chairs and beach towels to kitchen items, etc etc. One week went by way too fast, but we had a wonderful time at Sirenia by the Sea, and Anna Maria Island is a quaint, quiet, beautiful island. We also saw manatees at our beach and followed them all the way to Beane Point. That was a thrill!

We had a week as a holiday and family reunion, with my son s family who live in USA with my daughter s family from UK. The house was perfect for this ,with a twin rooms for the girls and boys, and spacious kitchen and eating areas, inside and out. Although we only used the outside table as the weather was so good late into the night together with a great BBQ. The pool was fantastic for the kids with a great selection of fun items. We used the house mooring frequently, for fishing and hiring kayaks for a number of days, as it was only a short paddle to the open bay where we saw dolphins and manatees. However you couldn’t beat fishing from Anna Maria Pier. A great house with a lot of wonderful memories. It was sad to have to leave , but next stop was Mickey Mouse before returning back to the UK.

This was our third year to spend our family beach vacation at Sirenia By the Sea. The boat could be docked right in the canal behind the pool. The kids enjoyed paddleboarding and kayaking in the canal leading to the bay. The Gulf beach was just a block away also. What more could you want? It was perfect!!

This is our families third year and we absolutely love this house!!! the accommodations are over the top, the owners are awesome and always available if anything comes up! We love the two living areas the two refrigerators and the two washer/dryer this makes everything so nice with a large group. The pool and hot top were a hit with our kids and we brought our boat so having a place to dock our boat and fish off the dock was great! We rarely went out because the house is so awesome!! This was our 3rd year staying at Serinia by the Sea. We've already book next year 2018. The house is perfect for large families we have 5 couples and we each have ample space. There are so many amenities it's hard for us to list, but the owners do a good job listing them in the house information. Plenty of parking, 2 washer and dryer sets and the garage is converted to a huge room for play and beach toy storage. The owners continually surprise us with upgrades and amenities. We love it here!

This is our 12th year coming to Anna Maria with our children and grandchildren. This is the best house that we have rented. The house is nicely furnished; the kitchen has everything necessary if cooking is your thing; the towels and linens are plentiful and of excellent quality; the TV's, WiFi and other electronics are up to date and work well; the pool and outside furniture are great. In short a perfect house for a family vacation. Lastly, all of our interactions with the owners were easy and helpful.

Our second time staying at Sirenia by the Sea, and it was even better than the first. The property itself is in excellent condition, and the owners and management team are very responsive. We had some little issues pop up, and an email to Nancy or Terri and they were taken care of the same day. The inside was all completely repainted and it looks fabulous! Great color scheme for a tropical paradise. The location is great; 1-1/2 blocks to the ocean, a few minutes by golf cart to both Publix and the Anna Maria General Store. A new activity we tried this time was kayaking. A canal runs the back length of the property, with a dock and boat lift. Our group was able to kayak into the bay, where we saw Manatee basking in the sun. A little windy to go much further, but that was pretty cool. We also tried fishing in the canal but got skunked. My wife and I are "hotel snobs," but we would never hesitate to rent this property, or either of the other two owned by Nancy and Terri. That's about as glowing a recommendation as I can possibly give. You won't be disappointed.

This is our second stay at Sirenia by The Sea. In our last 20 years of visiting Florida this was the first time we chose the same villa for our next holiday. The villa is even better than described on the web site. Huge comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean throughout. Easy access to beach , restaurants, bars and coffee shops. I cannot think of anything that is missing from this villa to ensure guests have a relaxing stress free stay. Owners easy to contact and very helpful. The only negative remark I can make regards our holiday is that we had to come home and leave the villa behind.

We had a wonderful stay in Anna Maria Island. Our third time on the island, the house was perfect for our two families of grown up children. The house had everything we needed and was very close to the glorious beach (one block away). Also perfectly situated for the free trolley (stop at the end of the road) and the restaurants and shops at the north end of the island including 'Dips' ice dream which was visited daily. All was accessible by walking although we also hired bikes from 'Beach Bums'. If you like fishing, then the boat dock at the back of the house is perfect and the house is also close to the two island piers; the Rod and Reel is particularly good. Anna Maria Island is a beautiful place and we would highly recommend this property and the island. We had an amazing holiday and we will be back.

Perfect week at Sirenia by the Sea

This is our second year coming to Sirenia by the Sea. The house is awesome, there were 7 adults and 5 children and we had plenty of room!!! Everyone had their own space, the grandkids loved having their own room next to' the master with us ( plus the closet was big and their dolls also had a room!!) two living areas make it so nice especially when the kids want to watch their tv shows or play alone! The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need plus more!! Two refrigerators and two washer and dryers were great! When we were not at the beach (which is a very short walk) we were in the pool and after the kids in bed the sauna!!! We brought our boat so having a place to keep it was great!!! This is the perfect house and location. Ownership is wonderful, caring and responsive. Sirenia by the Sea- a great family experience

After reading all the reviews prior to booking, it was difficult to believe all the glowing comments from previous guests. Nevertheless, the comments were quite accurate making any new comments difficult to come by. Our family of 10 including 2 young grandchildren needed the space provided by the vacation home which was highlighted by the two separate living room areas and five bedrooms. The pool was the other amenity that we loved. The owners have provided the guests with the small things that make the vacation great. Items like beach towels, beach buggy and umbrellas, pool and beach toys and fishing poles. Anna Maria island is an excellent area and our second visit providing good restaurants if you choose to dine out. It's only negative is the weekend traffic, but bikes and golf carts are available. This place definitely requires a return visit.

Although we didn't have optimum Florida weather, this house more than made up for it. It had every amenity that you could ask for and was so spacious that even though there were 9 of us, we all had plenty of room and privacy. I would absolutely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house to anyone looking for a great vacation spot. Not to be overlooked, we had a few great meals at The Sand Bar the the little shops on Pine St. keep us busy during any cloud bursts.

Wow, where to start... Sirenia by the Sea is awesome! The house is perfect for a large group; we had 12, and never once felt cramped. The colors are bright and airy, the kitchen is HUGE, and the pool/spa area is great. We stayed in the upstairs master bedroom, and felt like we were in a 5-star hotel. We used the pool area every day, even the days when the weather wasn't the greatest. I'd start each day with a walk down to the canal to see what the tides had brought in. There are two living areas, each with a large flat-screen TV and comfortable couch/chair. One is just off the kitchen, and that area became our central gathering spot. The second living room area is toward the front of the house, and provided a place to enjoy the serenity of the location. There is also a game room of sorts, with a ping-pong table; we had a family-wide tournament over the course of a couple of days. Included are a wagon and beach chairs, towels, and some beach toys. The weather was a bit on the cool side the first half of our stay, so we didn't get to the beach as much as we'd hoped, but we had two really great days. The location is superb. The house is close to the main drag, yet far enough away where there isn't any traffic noise. It's only a block or so from the beautiful white sand beach, and if you rent a bike, you can get to any part of the city in minutes. We rented a golf cart, which are legal to drive on the city streets. The owners, Terri and Nancy, were always quick with a response to any questions we had, and offered us suggestions on places to rent and places to eat. We've stayed at VRBO properties before, and never had owners who were so helpful. We ate out way too much, which was weird because the kitchen is so well-appointed. I'd definitely plan to visit both piers; there are restaurants at the end of each, and we had great seafood there. We also ate twice at the Sandbar, went to Ginny and Jane E's 3-4 times for caramel rolls, and had hand-decorated donuts from the Donut Experiment. We rented our golf cart and bikes from Beach Bums rental and had a good experience. The best recommendation I can give is that we're hoping to stay at Sirenia by the Sea again - if we can work out the schedules of a dozen people!

Our extended family spent a week over Thanksgiving at Sirenia by the Sea. We had an absolutely perfect trip! This house is so well equipped with everything that you need for a wonderful stay! There is plenty of room for a large family, we had 5 small children and felt like we were at home! The kids loved the garage space with the ping pong table and of course the pool! We had everything we needed to make the short easy walk to the beach! There were beach toys galore!! This is the perfect spot on the island to stay because it is walking distance to everything! The home is nicely furnished and very comfortable; great beds and despite having 5 small children running around, very quiet!! Everyone got their much needed rest! We had a fantastic two weeks at Sirenia By The Sea The house was huge and easily accommodated 5 adults and two children. We were a family party of 7 ages 12 – 69, we have been coming to Florida from the UK every year now , for around the last 18 years , this was our first stay on Anna Marie. We had visited it for a day last year and liked it so much we decided to book our holiday this year in the Island The villa is well maintained and has everything we needed to ensure we had a chilled, relaxing holiday. I cannot think of anything that Terri and Nancy have not covered in ensuring this home is maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Youngest child loved the hammock and spent quite a bit of time there, when we were not at the beach or out for a meal. Beach is just a short stroll away and no problem carrying stuff as beach trolley held everything we needed. The bakery (fantastic), Slims , Harry’s grill, Sandbar and Ice Cream parlour only a short walk away. Can highly recommend all the bars and restaurants that we visited we were never disappointed in any of them. Free trolley bus great, especially as one of the party had walking difficulties. Fishing dock was lovely, boys were up early (most ) morning and fished of the dock, as well as going to both of the piers fishing. I would highly recommend Anna Marie Island and Sirenia by the Sea to anyone thinking of visiting, we hope to return and would not hesitate to choose this house if we were a large party again. We had a couple of small problems on arrival which Terri and Nancy resolved very quickly , they were both a pleasure to deal with and nothing was too much for them to make sure we had a fantastic holiday . Pool and Jacuzzi were heavenly to use after a day on the hot beach. Saw baby shark on the beach for two days running, locals said it had beached on the shallows and they were trying to coax it back out to sea. Saw dolphins and manatee, plus lots of birds and one little squirrel which visited us in the garden frequently. In Summary definitely worth all of the 5 stars we have rated the villa- ‘ Sirenia By the Sea’ Wish I was there now  Ann Nickless + family

Afrer our eyes were delicately put back into their eyes sockets, my family (7 adults turned instantly into children) wandered into each room, picking which one would be theirs and which had the best bathroom. Then we hit the pool and just sighed. What a terrific place it is. MOST KILLER: the kitchen! Beautiful, and so well planned. I loved that each drawer was labled. What a thoughtfull convenience. WE were so comfortable there, and we never saw a week go by so fast. Also terrific: laundry/storeroom/spareroom. Two washers & two dryers. The property was spotlessly maintained, can't think of a single convenience not thought of by the owners, a very private location, so quiet and restful. Owners so easy to contact and very quick to respond to any question or concern.. This place is top shelf, and we would all go back tomorrow if only it were possible. Thank you for allowing us to stay as a guest.

We had a wonderful time at Sirenia By the Sea. The home was more than we expected and met all our needs. There were 11 of us ages 22 to 78. My nephew with Duchenne muscular dystrophy who uses a power wheelchair was able to get around easily. We did bring a ramp for the front door and the pool deck area. The lovely home is in a great location to the beach and the rest of the island. We used the wagon and beach chairs to enjoy the beach and the sunset every night. The guys loved the Rod and Reel Pier which is close. They caught enough fish for us to enjoy grilled fish one night. We ate at home for most meals. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. We loved the dining room table where we could all eat together or play cards or dice. The pool and patio were perfect to swim and enjoy the sun or just sit and relax. We loved looking into the canal and seeing different sealife and birds. I would definitely recommend this home for a large family get together.

Home was clean when we arrived, and things were handy to make our stay pleasant. [Beach towels, bottle of wine to greet us, wagon to trek to beach, etc.] Pool was small, but just enough for a dip at beginning or end of day. We had 8 adults and 4 children, and there was plenty of room. We had a DELIGHTFUL stay! Would come again. And will recommend.

I brought my family - my two married children and 5 grandchildren 8 mos to 5 years. We had planned to take a few adventures, but in the end, just stayed at the house. Between swimming in the pool and a short walk to the beach, why go anywhere! The littles ones loved the pool and collecting shells on the beach. The sand was so soft and the waves just the right size for little ones. The house furnishings were complete and working with the owners was such a pleasure. Would we do another vacation at this house? Absolutley!

We LOVED our stay in Sirenia By The Sea! It was my husband and I with our seven children, and they enjoyed it thoroughly! We had been at Disney the week before and when I recently asked which they liked better renting the house or Disney they say "renting the house". Everyone wants to stay there again. The amenities were over the top! I was especially grateful for the two sets of washers and dryers :) Everything a family would need!!! Thank you for a wonderful stress free stay!

Before I shift into my usual wordiness and confuse you all, let me just say that our family's stay at Sirenia by the Sea was everything we expected...and more! Don't hesitate; this place is great! It's the perfect home base for an extended family to enjoy time away from the hectic world and be together on magical Anna Maria Island. I booked many months in advance, so it gave the owners and me a chance to get to know each other by email and phone. We enjoyed swapping stories about families, the home, the island, and what to do and what to expect when we got there. Nancy and Terri provide outstanding pre arrival info not only in the standard communications via the rental website but also via their own vacation materials and their own website. They are truly dedicated not only to providing an outstanding resort-rental experience for their guests but also in being Anna Maria Island ambassadors! I'll try not to get TOO wordy here. The house is huge. It doesn't look that way when you approach it, but inside the living space seems never-ending. There were 9 of us there for a week: my wife and I; our 3 adult kids and their spouses; and one granddaughter who was 2-1/2. We took the master bedroom, which is on the first floor and has a small second bedroom adjacent to it (i.e., you can enter the second bedroom only via a door leading from the master bedroom). That was the perfect spot to make our granddaughter's room. It provided enough separation from the common areas to allow her to unwind and go to sleep. It also allowed us to let her mom and dad enjoy the week without being awakened at the crack of dawn--the grandparents were thrilled to have her to ourselves then! All the way on the other side of the house was another bedroom with en suite bath that her parents used--especially convenient for those mornings when she decided that grandma and grandpa weren't sufficient company and she needed mommy and daddy. It was an easy stroll through a couple of doorways to make them feel, ahem, wanted again! Oops, ran out of characters, keep it short. Big, modern kitchen had everything we needed to feed 9. We ate in for most meals. Dining room table sat us all comfortably, just off kitchen. BBQ patio off the kitchen that we used to grill us up a mess o' catfish, or whatever else for dinner. Owners responded quickly when a problem popped up; they got it fixed same day. Clean, comfy, cozy, perfect!!

We decided to make it a getaway for the grandparents and grandkids. Wonderfully designed with amenities for all. Home was large enough to have your own personal space but yet enjoy family time together. Access to the beach was a perfect walking distance. We fished, swam, rode bikes, and even used paddle boards during our stay. Home felt like a true home and was enjoyed by all. Details in preparing the house for our stay was impressive. Clean. Clean. Clean. Entire family wants to do it again sometime soon.

The house and location were excellent. We had the choice of pool, ocean or dock every day. The house has many extra's we were not aware of upfront, 2 washers and dryers, a chest full of large beach towels as well as the bath towels, very large dinning room table and the "garage" was actually an air conditioned, finished room with the extra full size refrigerator. The house had beach umbrellas, toys, fishing gear and a wagon to pull everything to the beach. There is plenty of driveway parking for 6 full size cars. The pool and dock are very well maintained and so is the house! We liked it so much that we are negotiating another full week in 2015.

What a beautiful place you have on Anna Maria Island. The eight of us - friends for almost 50 years - thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We have also vacationed together and with our families for almost as long as our friendship and rated your home #1 on our list. We have stayed on Sanibel Island and Siesta Key.... both on the beach which were very nice, but Sirenia By The Sea was #1. We especially loved: the colorful and tasteful decor the private pool and restful area surrounding it the kitchen which was extremely well equipped. the two refrigerators the laundry room the keyless front door so we didn't have to worry about keys private bathrooms for each couple We rode the trolley often and appreciated the short walk to the stop. So glad we found you on the internet!

We rented out serenia by the sea on the second leg of of our holiday, and this was a fantastic find for us (although I would love to say the opposite to keep this special place a secret) owners were a real pleasure to deal with could always contact them house was huge, plenty of space for big groups and really comfortable, with lots of amenities, so close to beach and trolley to get around Anna maria island is lovely and laid back could not wish for more!

Recommended for: People with Disabilities, Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Age 55+, Families with Teenagers.

This property is better than the photos portray! Super Easy Island Living! Our extended family easily spread out in this large home fully stocked with everything we thought we needed and more. The kids loved jumping into the pool anytime of day while we watched them from the poolside living room or on the pool terrace, that has more loungers than are shown. Fishing from the dock was lots of fun too. At sunset we loaded the beach chairs and beach cart to stroll down to the beach (really close - 11 houses away) to watch the sunset and pelicans diving for their dinner. The weather was perfection mid 80's every day and it was fun to join in the Friday Porch Party on Pine Ave. Free cocktails and munchies offered from the merchants while we shopped. They had live entertainment and even a bonfire with chairs to relax in. I recommend this property for extended family or friends who want an easy island vacation with tons of amenities available at this house. It is super close to the beach, being on a deep canal and only 3 houses from the free island trolley.

Our stay was great! The picturs describes the house perfect. Everything you see is what you get. Clean and nice house with very good service from the owners. The beach is nice and friendly for children and the locals are very friendly and helpful. The Sandbar on the beach and Mr Bones is two restaurants we will highly recommend. If our kids could choose, they would like to get back to Anna Maria Island and Sirenia by the Sea. Thank you, ladies, for the PERFECT location / setting for my 50th birthday on Sept 30th and my wedding on Oct 2nd! I live in Ft Lauderdale and had family and friends arrive from WA, HI, and IL. The house had everything we needed for a fun-filled week. The spaciousness gave us the opportunity to gather as a large group, or find quiet spaces where we could catch up with each other or take a break from everyone. I have rented several homes in the past and I must say that the photos and videos depict the property very accurately. The sauna room was a big hit as was the hammock in the back yard! Thanks for the fishing gear. Two of my granddaughters caught their first fish on this trip! I highly recommend this property to any group, any age.

The property was even better than the description. It is difficult to list all we did as we took advantage of all the island has to offer. It is very well stocked with all you would need. Our first trip to Anna Maria Island

Our first trip to Anna Maria Island was absolutely fantastic! This house was the perfect spot to stay, lots of room for our family of 5 and another family of 4, both inside and also out by the pool, where we enjoyed a total rest and relaxation vacation. And only a few minutes walk to what we thought was the most beautiful beach we have ever seen. We enjoyed bbq's at home, with the options of a gas grill as well a second separate charcoal grill. Also a short distance to some great restaurants. We enjoyed supper on our last night there at The Sandbar Restaurant, with dinner on the beach, overlooking the water and watching the awesome sunset. Another favourite was Poppos Taqueira. We certainly hope to Vacation here again, the home was immaculate, and the perfect spot for a family Vacation! Thanks!!

Our Wonderful Week in Sirenia by the Sea

We just returned from a wonderful week spent at this beautiful home on Anna Maria. The house was perfect for our family of 5 adults and 3 children. The pool was ideal. We loved the dock and the kids fished for the first time - one of the highlights for them was catch a cat fish! The beautiful beach was a short and lovely stroll and there were plenty of beach towels, toys and umbrellas for all of us and two wagons to handle it all. The location is ideal - close to lots of shops and restaurants. We will definitely return in the future!
