The house was recently renovated so the house was even better than the pictures showed online. The backyard was a tropical oasis that included mini golf which our kids LOVED. The home was extremely clean and stocked better than any rental we've ever had. Loads of pool + beach toys. Came with all the stuff we'd typically have to rent for our small kids (crib, pack and play, highchair, etc.). It was such a treat not having to worry about any of that. Meet the Families Behind AMI Home Rental
We are 2 close families that decided to take the plunge into Paradise together. Yes, that's us with the Stanley Cup during the NHL Playoffs, we really need to get a better photo up of all of us together!
The story starts with early retirement in 2010 ~ actually, the recession helped with that. When you lose your job, the next best thing is to buy a vacation home, right??? Well, we are the crazy families who made the leap to do just that. It was time to listen to that little voice in our heads and re-group, breathe and lead a saner life of slowing down and reconnecting with our families.
We decided to vacation to Anna Maria Island in 2011 to search for a beach house and immediately fell in love with Anna Maria! What’s not to love about the authentic Florida, beautiful beaches, great restaurants, boating, and the Islanders themselves? Our favorite activity while vacationing is to rent a boat and sail to a private island, passing the day away shelling & snorkeling. We have young families and love that the Island is very close to Disney, Busch Gardens, Mote Marine Laboratory as well as the major sporting events in nearby Tampa... Go Bolts! Yes, we are hockey fans.
We also love the fact that Anna Maria is extremely laid back without an attitude and safe!
Buying our first property, which my husband lovingly referred to as a "dump", we furiously went about renovations inside and out to create an oasis where both families could vacation together. We really focused on what we wanted as renters. Jump forward 10 years, and we now own 3 gorgeous homes on the island that we love sharing with other families who are also dreaming of an authentic Florida experience.

We care about our guests which is why we have introduced a travel insurance option offered to each guest upon booking. We don't take each reservation lightly and understand that guests might be concerned when handing over thousands of dollars for a dream vacation that you've worked hard for. Although our insurance policies are not mandatory we highly recommend that each guest protects their vacation investment with a Cancel For Any Reason or Master Cancel type policy.

Cancellation Policy
In the event of cancellation, deposit refunds are as follows:

75% refund of the deposit, if canceled 120 or more days prior to the guest Check-in Date

40% refund of the deposit, if canceled 90 to 119 days prior to the guest Check-in Date

There is no refund less than 90 days prior to the guest Check-in Date
*A cancellation fee of $200 will apply to all cancellations regardless of the period before Check-in Date.
Refund Policy
If a guest must cancel less than 90 days prior to the guest Check-in Date, and if requested by the guest, Anna Maria Island Home Rental will endeavour to re-rent the property for the dates the guest originally reserved. The amount if recouped by Anna Maria Island Home Rental will be given in payment to the original guest, less payment method fees. It is up to the sole discretion of Anna Maria Island Home Rental to advertise last-minute pricing strategy in order to re-rent the property. It is not guaranteed by Anna Maria Island Home Rental that the property will be re-rented. Refunds are subject to Anna Maria Island Home Rental's ability to re-rent the accommodation. There will be no refund if Anna Maria Island Home Rental is unable to re-rent the accommodation.
It is strongly recommended that the guest buys travel insurance to cover the cost of your rental in case of a cancellation.
